Bio

Sara Spanu is PhD in Social Sciences. She is an urban sociologist and currently she is post-doc researcher at the University of Milano-Bicocca. Her main research topics are related to urban sustainability, social practices in public spaces and the crime trends in Sardinia. She is member of BASE (Bicocca Ambiente Società Economia -Bicocca Environment Society Economy) and cooperates with OSCRIM (Social Observatory onCrime in Sardinia) of the University of Sassari. She is secretary and member of the scientific committee of AIS Territory Section and she is part of the ESA Network of Urban Sociologists. She took part to several national and international working and research groups and she was adjunt professor in the departments of Architecture, Design and urban planning, Law and History, Human sciences and Education of the University of Sassari. She obtained the national scientific qualification to function as associate professor (14/D1).
