Collective memory is a fundamental element of social life, influencing the way individuals live, interact, construct their identities and remember events (personal, historical, collective or generational), placing them within the specific socio-cultural context that shapes everyday life. Starting from this perspective, the Call aims to consider the numerous social practices of memory that develop in the different temporal and spatial contexts of everyday life. The focus is on the functioning of memory in concrete situations of social interaction, considering that the social foundations of remembering (and forgetting) lie essentially in the fact that these are activities that are constituted in interaction. Collective memory, shaped by social frameworks of memory (following the teachings of Maurice Halbwachs and Roger Bastide), profoundly influences everyday life, the way individuals and groups perceive the past, interact in the present and plan for the future. Collective memory is not fixed but evolves under the influence of personal, collective and generational experiences, expressing itself in numerous and diverse contexts; it manifests itself in rituals, traditions and collective representations, as well as in the daily practices of individuals and social groups.
