The University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, invites applications for a position of  Full Professor (100%) or assistant tenure track professor (100%) in Sociology

Job description: Initiation and supervision of collective research projects with third-party funding; participation in the research and scientific activities of the Institute of Sociology, the MAPS and the FLSH; organization of scientific events; participation in national (e.g. doctoral training programs) and international scientific networks. The teaching load amounts to 7 periods of 45 minutes per week and per semester (4 for the ATTP). Supervision of PhD and Master dissertations is expected. The position is located within the Institute of Sociology.
The position is primarily oriented towards quantitative methods, with a specialization in the sociology of inequalities (class, gender, age, etc.). A secondary specialization in economic sociology would be an asset. Candidates should be able to teach quantitative methods and the sociology of inequalities and to teach at the Bachelor’s and Master’s level in areas of sociology beyond their specialization. The candidates’ research will be complementary to the research of the two existing chairs (territorial economy and sociology of markets).
